alt=\"Screen-Shot-2017-07-20-at-11-38-09-AM-(2).png\" \/>As we continue our combined efforts to increase Canadian cardholder awareness and utilization of\u00a0<strong>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae and Accel\u00ae Networks<\/strong>, we are pleased to share the success we have had so far this year, to the benefit of each financial institution participant and your cardholders. As of June 2016 Canadian Exchange cardholders performed\u00a0<strong>4,441,719<\/strong>\u00a0Canadian Exchange Transactions; a\u00a0<strong>4% increase over the same period in 2015!<\/strong>\u00a0This was, no doubt, due to our ATM fleet expansion and cardholder awareness initiatives reinforcing that, with\u00a0<strong>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae Network<\/strong>, cardholders never have to pay ATM surcharge fees!<\/p>\n<p>As of June 2016 Canadian Exchange cardholders performed\u00a0<strong>3,245,052<\/strong>\u00a0withdrawal transactions savings cardholders\u00a0<strong>over $9 million\u00a0<\/strong>in needless surcharges and saving our financial institution participants\u00a0<strong>nearly $1 million\u00a0<\/strong>in premium interchange, due to our lower interchange fees compared to other networks.<\/p>\n<p>With expanded network access and convenience south of the border, Canadian Exchange cardholders also performed\u00a0<strong>208,884 Accel\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0ATM transactions and\u00a0<strong>425,505 Accel\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0POS transactions.<\/p>\n<p>As we continue our 2016 awareness and utilization initiatives we look forward to seeing more and more Canadian cardholders choosing an Exchange ATM when not using their home financial institution\u2019s ATM, which benefits all!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>MEET OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBER &amp; SOLUTION DELIVERY MANAGER<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"Andrea-Pain.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ficanex.ca\/getattachment\/News\/Member-Newsletter\/newsletters\/2016\/test\/Andrea-Pain.png.aspx?width=300&amp;height=308\" alt=\"Andrea-Pain.png\" \/>Please join us in welcoming our newest team member,\u00a0<strong>Andrea Pain<\/strong>. Her background includes over 25 years of experience in sales and relationship management, working with financial institutions and major retailers in the ATM, POS and switching services space.<\/p>\n<p>A former employee of Cardtronics, Threshold Financial Technologies and BMO, she has a strong understanding of payment services and transaction processing fundamentals, which has facilitated a quick and easy transition into her new role. Andrea is a graduate of McMaster University and also has a number of years of management consulting experience that brings a process-driven perspective to her work.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of work, in addition to being an active mom of two teenage boys, she is a passionate horsewoman and an avid golfer.
