><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>6 MONTHS IN REVIEW<\/h3>\n<p>June marks\u00a0<strong>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae Network\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0six month milestone as we continue our journey in Canadian cardholder enlightenment of our unique network. As of June 2015 Exchange cardholders performed\u00a0<strong>4,264,096<\/strong>\u00a0Canadian Exchange transactions, saving cardholders\u2019 over\u00a0<strong>$8.5<\/strong>\u00a0million in needless surcharges. Now that is something we can all be proud of!<\/p>\n<p>As a participant of our network, your cardholders have expanded access and convenience within North America. South of the border Canadian cardholders performed<strong>\u00a0259,453 Accel\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0ATM transactions and\u00a0<strong>752,814 Accel\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0Point of Sale (POS) transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, we notified all participants that our surcharge-free ATM fleet was increasing by over\u00a0<strong>30%<\/strong>\u00a0thanks to our network participant,\u00a0<strong>Manulife Bank<\/strong>. We also kicked of a national social media campaign and contest,\u00a0<strong>#SurchargeFREEdom<\/strong>, to raise awareness nationally that cardholders now have access to the 2nd largest financial institution ATM network in Canada. With these exciting developments under way, we look forward to increased transactions providing your cardholders with even better service and convenience no matter where life takes them in North America.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>MEMBER SPOTLIGHT<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ficanex.ca\/Ficanex\/media\/Ficanex\/Newsletter%20PDF\/spotlight_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this issue we put the spotlight on 2 financial institution participants! We first shine the light on\u00a0<strong>Manulife Bank<\/strong>. Thanks to\u00a0<strong>Manulife Bank<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>FICANEX Services<\/strong>\u00a0is pleased to announce that with over 3,300 surcharge-free ATMs now part of the network,\u00a0<strong>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae Network is the 2nd largest financial institution branded ATM network in Canada!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anytime, anywhere access to cash just got a whole lot better for Exchange cardholders now that they will be able to access surcharge-free cash at an additional\u00a0<strong>830 ATMs at Mac\u2019s, Couche-Tard and Circle K<\/strong>\u00a0locations across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Many of these new ATMs are located in areas that are not currently well served by existing ATMs in the network and, as a result, will bring the total number of unique postal code areas served by Exchange network ATMs from\u00a0<strong>1,820<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>2,607<\/strong>; a\u00a0<strong>43%<\/strong>\u00a0increase in the number of communities served by the network and further creates\u00a0<strong>#SurchargeFREEdom<\/strong>\u00a0for the\u00a0<strong>4.5 million<\/strong>\u00a0cardholders of the network participants in the local communities that they live and work in.<\/p>\n<p>The ATM rollout will begin in July with deployment targeted for the end of September. As\u00a0<strong>Manulife Bank<\/strong>\u00a0adds ATMs to the network, our ATM database will be updated immediately so cardholders that use our ATM Locator Applications or our website will benefit immediately from these new locations.\u00a0<strong>Manulife Bank<\/strong>\u00a0will also be using the \u201c<strong>landmark<\/strong>\u201d field within our database to further highlight the Mac\u2019s, Couche-Tard and Circle K locations in addition to the address.<\/p>\n<p>This is very exciting news for both\u00a0<strong>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae Network<\/strong>\u00a0and for our network financial institution participants. We encourage all participants to communicate to your staff this exciting network expansion so that they can inform cardholders of the expanded value of the network and encourage them to take advantage of the network to save themselves unnecessary ATM surcharges!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ficanex.ca\/Ficanex\/media\/Ficanex\/Newsletter%20PDF\/hsbc.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And now to shine some light on our network participant,\u00a0<strong>HSBC! HSBC<\/strong>\u00a0clearly understands the importance of anytime, anywhere, surcharge-free ATM access to their cardholders so they have kicked off an initiative to actively advertise\u00a0<strong>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae Network<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>HSBC<\/strong>\u00a0has developed marketing visuals specific to their ATMs, their website and for their customer self-service banking brochure to reinforce the unique network value to their customers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HSB<\/strong>C will also be featuring<strong>\u00a0THE EXCHANGE\u00ae Network<\/strong>\u00a0in every branch by having our network<strong>\u00a0Take One stands and flyers<\/strong>\u00a0displayed and handing out the free\u00a0<strong>Exchange screen cleaners<\/strong>\u00a0they ordered for customer handouts as part of their self-service banking promotions.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s not all!\u00a0<strong>HSBC<\/strong>\u00a0has included\u00a0<strong>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae Network<\/strong>\u00a0as a standard talking point in their customer onboarding process. Participants simply follow the social media content calendar that was provided. It lays out all the activities within the campaign including Facebook contest details. As documented in the content calendar all posts have been pre-scripted and include visuals so all that you need to do is cut, paste and post!
