Nicole has a wealth of experience in financial services through her six years employment within the BC Credit Union system. Lehman Credit Union<\/strong>\u00a0developed an in-house software product,<strong>MemberNote<\/strong>, that sends a text message and\/or an email whenever the account holder uses their debit card. The newest version (<strong>MemberNote3<\/strong>) sends similar messages when almost anything happens on the member account. This is the most robust alert system available anywhere and they occur in real time.\u00a0<strong>MemberNote3<\/strong>\u00a0uses a \u2018push\u2019 technology which sends the message immediately. \u201cWe believe this is a huge factor when using alerts and is one of the main reasons we are a leader in this field. And before we forget, the service is free. There is no charge from us.\u201d says\u00a0<strong>Gene Blishen<\/strong>, General Manager.<\/p>\n<p>Just a few of the \u201calert\u201d types include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your telephone banking or internet banking Personal Access Code (PAC) is changed<\/li>\n<li>When a balance inquiry is made at an ATM<\/li>\n<li>Electronic credits\/payroll is deposited<\/li>\n<li>ATM withdrawals, deposits, transfers or balance inquiries and any other type of deposit is made to your account<\/li>\n<li>A cheque or pre-authorized debit has been transacted on your account<\/li>\n<li>Bill payments, transfers, point of sale or any other type of debit has been transacted on your account<\/li>\n<li>Notification or important incidents such as the interruption\/restoration of MemberCard services and other special events like our BBQ\u2019s and the AGM<\/li>\n<li>Reminds you near the date that your safety deposit box fee is due<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And there are many more alerts the Member can choose to receive but here at\u00a0<strong>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0Network by far our favourite is an alert when a surcharge is paid by the cardholder with the message \u201cYou could have saved the surcharge. Korea Exchange Bank of Canada has 10 ATMs located in Burnaby, Coquitlam and Vancouver, BC; Calgary, AB; Mississauga, Thornhill and Toronto, ON.<br \/>\nWelcome aboard!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>THE EXCHANGE\u00ae NETWORK\u2019S 6 MONTH TRANSACTION HIGHLIGHTS<\/h3>\n<p>JJune 2013 marks our network\u2019s 6 month milestone with impressive results year to date. Canadian Exchange cardholders performed over 5.1 million transactions in Canada during the first 6 months of the year. This represented a 4% increase over the same time period last year and is on target to surpass the 10 million transaction mark for the year. So what does this mean to cardholders and our Financial Institutions?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the first 6 months you saved Canadian cardholders in excess of $8 million in needless surcharge fees and that goes a long way in cardholder on-boarding and retention activities.<\/li>\n<li>You saved over $1.5 million in combined issuer interchange expenses by paying Exchange interchange fees rather than Interac interchange fees. And that directly affects your bottom line and is something to celebrate!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>South of the border was no surprise with ACCEL\u00ae POS transactions of just over 1 million during the first 6 months representing an astounding 26% increase over the same period last year. Canadians love the ACCEL\u00ae Network just as much as they love to shop; and we know you love it too with revenue of approximately $.30 on each transaction performed.
